Can a foreign artist or gallery hold a show in Mumbai with Arts Bespoke?
Yes. Artists and galleries based in London, Dubai and elsewhere can propose a show at the house in Mumbai, either on consignment or under an exclusive representation agreement for Mumbai.
Who pays for the show?
The house meets the cost of the show, including the opening evening. No hanging fee, catalogue fee or contribution toward the show is asked of the artist.
What does exclusive representation in Mumbai mean?
Arts Bespoke becomes the one house that offers the artist's work for sale in Mumbai, for an agreed period, under a written agreement.
How is this different from paying to exhibit at a gallery in Mumbai?
Many venues in Mumbai charge artists to hang a show. Arts Bespoke does not: the house meets the cost of the show and earns only when work sells.
How are the terms set?
The commission, the period, insurance while the work is in the house's care, and who carries transit are stated in a written agreement signed by both sides before any work travels.
