A canvas of moving blue: broad diagonal strokes in cobalt, ultramarine and pale sky-blue, scraped and dragged so the surface looks like water under wind, or silk folded over itself. Two seams of antique gold run through it on the same diagonal, the brightest crossing from the lower left towards the centre. A small passage of violet sits low on the right. Signed with the artist's monogram, lower right, and dated 24. It was painted in the year Joshi described as the end of five years spent almost entirely in blue.
