Ganesha in green and gold

An olive gold ground carries a broad elephant face in a heavy black outline. Within it the figures turn pale celadon: a standing Shri Ganesha Ji, a dancing Shri Ganesha Ji, a drummer, the trident, each in fine black line with a gold wash. At the right a vertical band of gold meets a turquoise leaf panel that cools the whole field. It is the most luminous of the six by lamplight, the green and gold shifting as the light moves across the canvas.
