Shri Ganesha Ji, Ganapati Bappa, Vighnaharta, the remover of all obstacles and the Lord of beginnings, sits enthroned beneath the great umbrella (chhatra) of sovereignty, with devotees on both sides raising chowries and instruments in his praise.
