एक ओलियोग्राफ़ लाखों घरों में टँगने से पहले, उसकी छवि पत्थर पर बनानी पड़ती थी। चित्रकार राजा रवि वर्मा द्वारा 1894 में बंबई में स्थापित रवि वर्मा प्रेस ने भक्ति और कथा-चित्र छापे, जो पूरे उपमहाद्वीप तक पहुँचे। घराना इसके 20 लिथोग्राफ़िक छपाई-पत्थर अध्ययन संग्रह के रूप में दिखाता है। हर पत्थर के साथ लिखित रिकॉर्ड है, और घराना स्पष्ट बताता है कि क्या स्थापित है और क्या अभी ज्ञात नहीं।
